Fees and billing

Fees you can plan around.

We agree the fee structure in writing before work begins. The three models below cover most matters. Your engagement letter sets the actual terms.

Flat fee

Defined projects, one price

Best for matters with a clear start and end, such as forming a company, preparing a will or a standard lease review. The price is agreed in advance and covers the scope described in your letter.

Hourly

Open-ended work, billed as it happens

Best for matters where the scope is hard to predict, such as a dispute. Each attorney has a published rate. You receive a monthly invoice with time entries and can ask for an estimate at any stage.

Retainer

Ongoing support at a steady cost

Best for businesses and families who want a lawyer on call. A monthly amount covers a set number of hours or a defined list of services, with the terms written down.
